I have been a workshop presenter since 2002 (full list below) and taught adult community classes from 1998-2020. I offer a high-quality workshop focused on ‘why’ and ‘when’ as much as ‘how’, and overcoming fear through play. I discuss everything from good ergonomics to throwing basics and the joy of surface deco. Workshops can be customized for any number of days at any venue.

I’ve made a pledge to inquire with venues about their programs to foster equity and inclusion in both instruction and participation before booking.

Workshops can be hands-on or lecture/ demonstration only and typically include:

• Slide presentation of my work (past & current) plus influences
• Demonstrations of various surface decoration techniques, including stamp-making, slip-sponging, and slip-trailing
• Demonstrations on throwing and altering
• Discussions about studio ergonomics, timing, maintaining a sketch/idea book and idea-generation
• One-on-one discussions
